May Meeting with GOP Mayoral Candidate Stacia Hall

Stacia Hall, a business woman and community leader of faith, is running for mayor of Washington, DC.

Stacia’s life experiences drive her passion for public service. Born to Morris Hall Sr. and Veronica Fletcher Hall in Miami, Florida, Stacia is the sister of two living sisters and one brother and a deceased sister who died of kidney cancer at age 4. ​

Growing up in Pentecostal churches amongst her mother’s ministry as she honed her singing talent, Stacia excelled in language arts, drama, and sports. She competed in several local talent/beauty pageants, winning Queen of Miami Bahamas Goombay Festival in 1988 while attending Miami Dade College.

Stacia became a professional singer and model at age 18, performing with local bands and Motown reviews, 60 and 70s music until 2015.

Stacia has known the trials of life, having been a single mother of two, needing assistance. She went from living in a homeless shelter and the projects in Miami to working various jobs including as a patient care coordinator in Suitland, MD, to her current role at as a senior rental consultant at CORT Business Services, a Berkshire Hathaway company. She is also the founder and owner of Eclectic Minimalist Interior Décor and Staging, a small business based in DC’s Ward 3. Her experience in starting a business has deepened her interest in public policy and desire to build an economy in which entrepreneurship can thrive.

Stacia is a faith and community leader. Prior to the Covid shutdown, Stacia volunteered as drama director, worship leader, and dance minister at In His Presence Worship Temple and Women of Purpose in Largo MD. She currently volunteers wih the Phiette organization of Alpha Phi Omega, Union City Church of DC, St Jude’s, AASPCA, the DC Republican Party, and the Republican Equality Alliance. These experiences have deepened her love for all people, and especially her desire to serve marginalized communities. Stacia has been blessed with the compassion of others. Now that she has found success, she is paying it forward. ​

Stacia and her children reside in the Cleveland Park neighborhood, where her daughter is a junior at Wilson High School and a member of Tigerettes dance team and her son is a professional in the wholesale industry.​ She is also a proud grandmother of two. Stacia’s experience as a mother of a DC public school student has inspired her commitment to school choice and her desire to make sure that all students have the opportunity to receive an excellent education.
